Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant KS2 team, located in Maidstone, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in a dynamic primary school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the class teacher in delivering high-quality education to KS2 students.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional help.
Help prepare classroom materials and resources.
Support students with special educational needs and adapt activities to ensure they can access the curriculum.
Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Supervise students during break and lunchtimes as required.
Participate in school events, trips, and extra-curricular activities.
Provide feedback to teachers on students’ progress and any concerns.
Support with administrative tasks such as maintaining records and documentation.
Qualification and Requirements:
Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
A passion for education and supporting children’s learning.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of the school.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
Basic knowledge of the KS2 curriculum is desirable.
