About the role
There are ongoing opportunities for Part-Time Community Support Workers to join our Maitland Community Care Services Support team.
Our workers support clients in their homes throughout the Maitland area, providing support with practical activities including (but not limited to):
1. Assistance with personal care
2. Social support
3. Shopping
4. Meal preparation
5. Light housework
6. Medication assistance
7. Transport
8. Welfare Checks
9. Respite
All are aimed at helping our clients to remain living their best life independently in their own home.
About you
We are looking for passionate and caring individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of our clients (older people).
You must also have:
1. Cert III in aged care or other aged care qualification and/or equivalent experience.
2. A First Aid Certificate (or will obtain)
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to work autonomously
5. NSW Driver Licence
6. A current, reliable, well-presented vehicle with comprehensive insurance cover
7. Current Working with Children Check and an NDIS Worker Screening Check (or will obtain)
8. ADSSI strongly encourages all employees to stay current with COVID-19 vaccinations as recommended by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI), the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aged Care, or NSW Health.
9. Evidence of protection against Diphtheria, Measles, Hepatitis B, Pertussis, Mumps, Varicella, Tetanus, Rubella, Tuberculosis (Influenza is recommended)
