We are recruiting an Income Collection and Support Officer at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 37 Hours (7.24 Monday – Friday)
Contract Type: Permanent/Full Time
Location: Ty Penallta / Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Caerphilly Homes Team.
We pay an attractive salary of £30,559 - £33,366 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
This post plays a key role in the management of rent collection and support provision to contract holders.
The role ensures effective management and recovery of arrears, supporting contract holders in maintaining their contracts and preventing financial difficulties. It combines recovery management with direct contract holder support, helping them understand and meet their obligations, referring them for more specialist support when needed to assist them with financial management/income maximisation or hardship issues.
The role must balance strong communication, negotiation and support with the need for enforcement to ensure sustainable contracts and revenue stability.
For the role, we ask that you have:
A Level 3 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
Knowledge of Housing Law in relation to debt recovery and other tenancy breaches.
A full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough to visit tenants, attend meetings and Court.
