We have a fantastic opportunity for a Head Receptionist to join our team here at Woodlands Vets As a Head Receptionist, you will provide a friendly and efficient service to our clients and their animals. We are a professional and personable team working in a very challenging and busy environment, which makes the role varied, interesting and no day is ever the same Location: Plymouth and Ivybridge Contract: Permanent Hours: 40 hours per week Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday between 08.00 – 19.00 including some Saturday cover About the role: Day-to-day duties of the role will include: Leading and managing the Reception team Ensuring smooth running of the practice Reception and a welcoming front of house Attending leadership meetings Implementing changes and new processes and training the team Scheduling staff rotas including arranging holiday and sickness cover Monitoring and maintaining high customer service standards Completing Reception team 1-2-1's and being the first point of contact for the team Responding to client queries and complaints Assisting with debt control Adhering to company policies and procedures to achieve key performance targets, client satisfaction and engagement What we're looking for in our Head Veterinary Receptionist: Previous Receptionist experience is essential, veterinary experience is a plus Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team would be highly beneficial Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations An excellent communicator with strong empathy Excellent organisation skills Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems What we can offer you: Salary : £23,800 - £29,000 depending on experience and skills.
