JOB - Project Manager - ELECTRICAL
Project Manager
Execute successful turnkey capital projects from sales handover through to completion, to the satisfaction of customers, to programme and to budget, typically various size UPS systems from 40kVA to multiple MW systems.
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:
1. Electrical / Electronic Engineering (min. HNC/HND level).
2. Project management of site installation works.
3. Site health and safety.
4. Commercial experience.
5. Effective planning, organization and communication skills.
6. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers, engineering consultants, vendors and co-workers.
7. Leadership ability to direct/coordinate group activities by giving clear, precise directions.
Project Responsibilities:
1. Delivering technical engineering solutions to suit as a project evolves.
2. Drawing preparation & working with internal technical authority as appropriate.
3. Conformance with contractual deliverables.
4. Issue technical submissions as appropriate.
5. Manage the contract through the issue of RFI’s, TQ’s, EWN’s, CI’s etc.
6. Attend customer meetings when required.
7. Carry out site inspections during the installation period.
8. Provide project support to the field staff as required.
9. Prepare monthly reporting on projects under your control.
10. Ensure H&S – CDM compliance for all projects.
11. Manage external supply chain and site installation works.
12. Ensure that all company policies and procedures are supported and adhered to.
13. Liaise with internal departments and Piller GmbH as required.
Commercial Responsibilities:
1. Take P & L responsibility for capital projects.
2. Provide invoicing forecasts and budgets for capital projects.
3. Placing of orders for equipment and other services necessary for the projects.
4. Ensure suppliers are contracted against appropriate terms and all the requirements of the main contracts are passed downstream to subcontractors as required.
5. Keeping accurate financial records.
6. Maximising the profitability and commercial position of all capital equipment projects.
7. Invoices and applications are managed on time and tracked for the specific contract for both suppliers and client.
8. Variations are managed, documented and tracked to the specific contract for both suppliers and client.
9. Reports are generated against schedules to demonstrate the above.
10. Work closely with the management accountant to ensure all project costs are captured in a timely fashion and documented through the company systems.
