Responsible for the development and implementation of the nurse practitioner led preoperative assessment service. Working with the Clinical Director and multi-disciplinary team to support a clinical environment that is patient and public focused.To plan the provision of care for patients in the Pre-Operative setting.To contribute to the Pre-Operative Assessment of patients to high standard ensuring patients are case managed and prepared in a safe and timely manner without direct supervision. Working collaboratively with the unit lead and co-operatively with other Health Professionals to provide the highest standard of care, safety and service to patients and their relatives.Develop clinical guidelines and protocols for screening of patients, liaising with the Clinicians and with other appropriate Directorates within the Health Board.The post holder will also be asked to contribute to the smooth running of the unit developing management and organisational skills.
