The Role
Working with vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes, you’ll play a key part in ensuring our fleet stays roadworthy and runs smoothly. No two days are the same, and you’ll use your expertise to keep our vehicles safe, reliable, and in excellent working order.
Here are some of the activities you will be involved with...
* Carrying out routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake checks, and tyre replacements.
* Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults using the latest diagnostic tools.
* Performing repairs on engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and other key components.
* Preparing vehicles for MOT tests, including pre-MOT inspections and necessary repairs.
* Responding to emergency breakdowns and conducting on-site repairs when required.
* Maintaining accurate records of all work completed and service logs.
* Communicating effectively with customers or fleet managers about repair needs and costs.
We would love to hear from you if...
You are a reliable and skilled mechanic with experience working on light goods vehicles (up to 3.5 tonnes). You’ll have a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and be confident using diagnostic equipment and a variety of tools.
The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and a Full UK Driving Licence. While not essential, being a qualified MOT tester would be a great advantage.
