Managing Quantity Surveyor
Glasgow (hybrid, occasional travel)
£65-70,000 salary
Cruinn Consulting are supporting a key client in their search for a Managing Quantity Surveyor. Leaders in infrastructure construction consultancy, with particular expertise in data centres and mission critical infrastructure, this client has significant growth plans and are well respected across the industry. This role will play an integral part in this next growth phase, shaping and mentoring junior members of staff, and delivering exceptional consulting services for clients across EMEA.
This role will involve occasional travel to client offices in the UK and (infrequently) Europe
The role will involve:
* Being the client facing Project Manager for each commission
* Managing multiple client relationship
* Overseeing project delivery within agreed budgets, while maximising profitability margins
* Proactive management of BQ production team, providing necessary support and interventions where required to ensure successful delivery. This will involve holding daily meetings with BQ team
* Conducting gap analyses for each commission
* Taking accountability for sign-off and submission
* Providing post-submission client care
* Driving a culture of continuous improvement
* Coaching and mentoring junior members of staff
To succeed in the role, you will have:
* Degree-level education, or equivalent
* MRICS (desirable)
* Good line-management experience
* Pre-contract experience
* Experience working on complex infrastructure projects (any experience with data centres is particularly useful)
* Exceptional communication and negotiation experience
