Job Description
Join our dynamic Training & Development team at Legal & General, a leader in the group protection market. We are dedicated to delivering greater value for our customers, clients and enhancing employee well-being. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a passionate and experienced Training and Development Consultant to join our team.
As a Training and Development Consultant in Group Protection, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our training programs and ensuring that our employees are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in their roles. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to design, implement, and evaluate training initiatives that align with our organisational goals.
What you'll be doing:
* Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs on group protection products and services to new starters and existing employees
* Design and deliver training on claims for all product types
* Define, document, implement and regularly review the process and training manuals for the Claims area
* Provide support on the assessment of Group Protection claims, checking and approving decision making to accept/reject liability, management plans and authorise payment as per individual authority limits as agreed by the Head of Claims
* Conduct needs assessments to identify training gaps and opportunities for improvement
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders to understand their training needs
* Collaborate with subject matter experts to create engaging training materials and resources
* Facilitate workshops and online training sessions for various audiences.
* Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make data-driven recommendations for enhancement and ensure that Career Paths are regularly reviewed and updated
* Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in training and development
* Support the Technical & Governance Team in the delivery of training in relation to legislative, regulatory or process changes
* Contribute to company and Group Protection wide projects and process reviews to deliver product & proposition development and system design & improvements
* Develop, define & deliver processes & systems to ensure that all customer data is dealt with appropriately in accordance with legislation, in particular the Data Protection Act, the Access to Medical Reports Act and Legal & General’s Confidentiality Policy
* The Role is not regulated by the FCA, and the jobholder is not an approved person. However, the jobholder will be responsible for ensuring regulatory standards associated with the role are achieved at all times
* Requirement to deputise for Training & Development Manager as required
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
* Proven experience in training and development, preferably within the insurance or group protection sector
* Claims and assessment experience within financial services
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
* Proficient in using learning management systems and e-learning tools
* Loves sharing knowledge with others, someone with natural coaching ability with strong communication skills
* Proven ability to design and deliver training and development programmes
* Ability to represent the department at internal/external meetings
* Effective organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
