In this pivotal role, you will optimise daily customs clearance procedures, ensure compliance with regulations, and manage customs duties effectively.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 36.25 hours per week.
Hybrid: Yes, 4 days office based and 1 day a week working from home.

Your main responsibilities would be:
1. Oversee and coordinate day-to-day customs operational activities.
2. Manage all requirements to clear goods at the border.
3. Ensure documentation and data entry are consistent and compliant with our client's licences.
4. Administer administrative tasks to comply with customs regulations.
5. Coordinate and communicate with internal and external partners.
6. Report directly to the Shipping / Planning Manager in Ashford.
7. Collaborate closely with other departments as part of an extended team.
Qualifications:
1. Degree level or certificate in Customs compliance level 4 or higher, or experience working in an equivalent position.
2. In-depth experience in import/export compliance, specifically filing IPR submissions to UK Tax & Revenue.
3. SAP/GTS knowledge and advanced Excel skills.
4. Ability to work independently and in a team, interacting with diverse stakeholders.
