Do you have a passion for Sports, Arts or Cultural activities? Can you engage and enthuse young people aged 4-16 years through delivery of high quality positive activities?
Salford Community Leisure's Active Communities team delivers exciting, innovative, and highly regarded activities across the City of Salford to children and young people aged 4-16 years, and we are looking to recruit a number of casual employees to assist in the delivery of our highly engaging and rewarding activity, holiday, and party programmes.
Salford Community Leisure is a dynamic, non-for-profit organisation committed to enriching the lives of the people in and around Salford through sports, leisure, culture, and well-being. We are passionate about nurturing inclusive and healthy communities, ensuring that every individual has access to the opportunities and services that support physical and mental health, creativity, and personal development.
Salford as a city is one of the fastest-growing local authority districts in England and Wales and is becoming more diverse. There are major ongoing health challenges and inequalities within the city, and an ambitious set of strategies have been developed to tackle them. Physical exercise, creativity, learning, and community development have been identified to change people's lives for the better.
We are looking for candidates who:
1. Demonstrate up-to-date knowledge about delivery methods and techniques in your chosen area of expertise
2. Demonstrate good organisational skills
3. Demonstrate good communication skills
4. Are able to demonstrate enthusiasm and skills to lead on a variety of activities
5. Exhibit the ability to work without supervision
6. Show the ability to set up planned sessions according to the needs/abilities of the participants
7. Are able to complete required monitoring information
8. Consistently demonstrate SCL’s behaviours

Please be aware that this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check, currently £49.50 for an enhanced check. The payment will be taken back over two payments directly from the first two months' salary payments. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment.
