SEN Teaching Assistant – Alresford, Hampshire

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Alresford, Hampshire. This full-time role offers a salary between £17,500 to £19,500 per year (Based on your experience), with a start date available ASAP or from Easter 2025. A permanent contract is available following a successful probation period. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with additional needs, helping them thrive both academically and personally.
Responsibilities as a SEN TA:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with Autism.
* Assist in implementing individual learning plans (EHCPs) tailored to students’ needs.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment to help students achieve their potential.
* Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to ensure students receive appropriate support.
* Encourage students' independence, social skills, and emotional development.
Requirements for the SEN TA:
* Previous experience working with SEN students, particularly those with Autism, is desirable.
* Transferable skills from care, social work, or support roles are highly valued.
* A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to working with young people.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
