Abbott’s Heart Failure business is recruiting for a brand new Therapy Development Manager to join the UK team. The role is field-based and will cover the UK. Ideal candidate’s location would be Central/South UK.
This role will be focused on Abbott’s CardioMEMS Heart Failure System, an innovative diagnostic sensor, which is the leading remote monitoring platform for both HFpEF and HFrEF patients.
What You’ll Do
As a Therapy Development Manager, you will coordinate and optimize activities in implanting centers as well as referral sites in your area to present Abbott as an ideal long-term partner in the heart surgical and cardiology field, and to develop inpatient and outpatient heart failure referral programs. This is a commercial sales manager role, where you will be responsible for meeting and driving negotiations with procurement departments, hospitals, pricing, order processing, and coordination. Additionally, you will lead market development activities, events, and clinical support.
In this role, you will need to achieve regional sales and strategy targets and identify and generate sales opportunities through both inbound and outbound calling activities. Furthermore, you will assess the heart failure business and market development opportunities to drive sales and provide field support in the implementation of specific heart failure marketing and sales initiatives.
75% travel is anticipated in this role.
Qualifications/Requirements
* Experience in a clinical setting providing acute or outpatient care to patients with cardiovascular diseases. Experience in Heart Failure is considered an asset.
* Commercial acumen and proven track record of successfully managing a sales region/territory.
* Marketing and communication experience would be considered an asset.
* Strong negotiation skills.
* Show entrepreneurial skills – out-of-the-box thinking.
* Advanced product and industry knowledge.
* Superior communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and customer service skills.
* Strong presentation skills.
