This position is available for an immediate start, offering competitive rates. Key Responsibilities: The Specialty Doctor in Adult Psychiatry will conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, evaluating adults to understand their mental health challenges, considering their personal history and symptoms. Based on these assessments, they will formulate individualised treatment plans tailored to each person's needs and goals. Regular monitoring and evaluation of the progress of individuals is essential, with adjustments to treatment plans as needed to optimise care. The doctor will contribute to risk assessments and management strategies, ensuring the safety and well-being of those in their care. Providing consultation and support to primary care providers, community mental health teams, and other stakeholders involved in the care of adults with mental health needs is also part of the role. Participation in service development initiatives, quality improvement projects, and research activities to enhance the delivery of mental health care services for adults is expected. Additionally, some experience in Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment (CRHT) is required. Qualifications and Experience: Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC). Relevant previous experience working in adult psychiatry. Some experience in Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment (CRHT). Strong clinical skills and expertise in psychiatric assessments and treatment planning. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Experience in service development and quality improvement initiatives.
