If you are looking to grow your skills and knowledge within one of the world’s largest commercial insurers with a diverse workforce and excellent employee benefits, then we would love to hear from you Working as part of Shared Service Centre for Reconciliations you will form part of a team of Onshore & Offshore members reporting to the LATAM Finance Manager in the Regional Reconciliation teams. Responsible for quality controlling the accuracy of reconciliations on the Blackline system, in line with Chubb’s Global Policy; providing analysis on any open items and liaise with Local Regional Operations teams (Brazil and Argentina) to actively investigate and resolve any unidentified differences in a timely manner. You will take on the role of SME which requires a full comprehension of underlying reconciliation processes and be expected to develop in-depth knowledge and understand of the upstream systems and processes which feed into the reconciliations you are responsible for. Driving clearance on reconciliations will be a large part of the role as we aim to progress into a BAU position with minimal aged items. As part of this, we would require the implementation of improvements and automation's into the process. You will become a key point of contact for Finance colleagues across the regions for BAU issues experienced by any stakeholders and will be able to identify, resolve or know when to escalate to ensure minimal impact to financial reporting. The role includes monitoring and supporting the Offshore team to ensure agreed process SLA’s are being met and you will work with the team to develop their knowledge and understanding on more complex accounts. We require a self-starter, with strong communication and analytical skills. Ideally with a sound understanding of excel and finance experience. You will also be expected to be assertive in following up and seeking resolution of queries and issues. Key Responsibilities: Analysis and reconciliation of General Ledger Accounts. Liaise with regions to ensure any open aged items are cleared. Full involvement in the quality control process for reconciliations in accordance with Global Policy. Understand and be able to use the Blackline reconciliation tool to enhance reconciliation process. Assist and escalate to all local contacts/stakeholders as and when required. Review and approval of SOPs. Work with Financial Controls Unit (FCU) to escalate queries/aged entries. Ensure tasks are carried out by preferred Outsourcer within agreed SLA’s. Active involvement in determining the SLA’s, their measurement and provide feedback to Outsourcer. Support Offshore team to enhance both reconciliation and underlying processes. Oversight and control of transitioned processes. Ensure cross training across onshore team on all BAU tasks to reduce risk from key man dependencies. Build knowledge to be able to respond to Audit queries – both internal and external Be involved in projects that flow through the team; completing test scripts, perform UAT, provide sign off. Drive recommendations on potential improvement opportunities in the Reconciliation teams Qualifications Fluent Speaker of Spanish and English, Portuguese advantageous Strong Excel Skills, ability to cross-tabulate/manipulate data Extensive experience in the creation and resolution of balance sheet reconciliations Proven ability to work to tight deadlines Analytical review of management information Financial services or insurance experience is highly desirable Assertive in following up and seeking resolution of differences Alteryx knowledge would be advantageous but not a necessity WE OFFER IN RETURN Competitive salary, annual bonus & pension scheme, 25 days annual leave plus ability to purchase 5 additional days.
