Job Description
Williams Education is an exciting new venture aimed at expanding access to world-class Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) education via a suite of through-life offerings (from primary school through to university). This individual will play a key role in building the long-term vision of Williams Education, determining the right offerings, and ensuring each offering is delivered – generating a meaningful impact on the UK STEM education landscape.
Today, Williams Education has one offering, a one-day STEM Experience onsite at its campus in Grove, Oxfordshire. Students aged 8-16 join Williams for a free, taking part in a workshop that instils STEM skills through the lens for Formula 1, trying their hand at racing on our Esports Simulators, and view 20+ heritage cars in the museum. This role will help determine what models we pursue next, ensuring we are solving real customer needs and leveraging cutting-edge methodologies in STEM education.
Main Duties:
* Conducting regular assessments of the UK Education landscape (from primary through to Phd) and the existing and innovative models for corporate involvement
* Scoping, evaluating, and executing new growth opportunities to accelerate Williams Education by leveraging key insights gained through research and data analytics
* Driving hypothesis-driven quantitative and qualitative research such as analyses to understand our addressable market, competitive landscape, customer interviews/surveys, and/or concept testing to identify actionable insights that shape our strategy
* Identifying and analysing established and emerging STEM and education organizations with compelling business models and growth frameworks that could inform our own strategy
* Create operating and financial models to bring the growth opportunities to life, including approaches to commercialize
* Communicating your findings and recommendations to all levels of cross-functional management, c-suite and board through clear presentations that you will then drive through execution
* Developing cross-functional project plans to seamlessly deliver growth opportunities
* Identifying and mitigating execution risks, taking both a proactive approach and escalating risks to leadership as necessary
* Improving upon process foundations for how we take growth opportunities from ideation to execution as part of our overall go-to-market strategy process
* Creating KPIs/OKRs for each offering, and the related dashboards to monitor each offering’s impact
Qualifications
* Extensive experience developing and executing business strategy, (e.g., go-to-market and/or product recommendations) in an strategic/operational role, consulting firm, or investment bank.
* Demonstrated experience in presenting data, insights and recommendations to senior executives (e.g. C-level, VPs, etc.)
* Experience with a broad array of UK Education organisations
