With experience from the NHS and/or private sector, you will manage a complex caseload, building individual relationships with service users to understand their health concerns, goals, dietary restrictions, and preferences to develop tailored nutrition plans.
As a Dietitian, you will contribute to the development of specialist treatment plans and pathways, maintaining close contact with local community teams.
Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will assess, formulate, and treat patients and their families/carers, acting as a key link between nursing and catering departments, and leading on dining room management and nutrition support strategies.

As a Dietitian, your responsibilities will include:
* Assessing service users’ weight and advising on weight management, caloric intake, and meal plans
* Managing a complex inpatient and outpatient caseload, using evidence-based, people-focused interventions
* Conducting pre-admission screenings and planning future interventions
* Liaising with the catering department to review menus, allergen lists, portion sizes, and special diets
* Supporting group activities and staff training
* Providing weekly progress updates to the multidisciplinary team during ward rounds
* Conducting one-on-one nutrition counseling to explore eating behaviors, beliefs, and barriers to change
* Delivering psychoeducation groups like Nourish to Flourish to help patients understand and challenge their beliefs about food and body image
* Supporting families to understand the relationship between food and health and strategies for supporting at-home eating
To succeed in this role, you will have:
* HCPC registration
* Post-qualifying experience working with individuals with eating disorders, preferably in inpatient settings
* Knowledge of eating disorders
* A commitment to maintaining high professional standards
Work locations:
32 Studley Road, 1 & 10 Cutenhoe Road, Luton, Bedfordshire, LU3 1BB. You will work across three care homes in Luton: Ellenbrook House, Stockwood House, and Talbot House, providing care for individuals with eating disorders, with tailored support, group activities, and rehabilitation plans.
