The Opportunity We're looking for an experienced Senior Engineer / Associate Principal Engineer to join our Bridges and Civils team within the Transportation Practice, based in Epsom. In this role, you’ll be part of some of the most high-profile, multi-disciplinary projects in the UK, including major highway improvement projects with Connect Plus Services, Surrey County Council, Cambridgeshire PSC, and Buckinghamshire CC PSC, among others Your Purpose As a Senior Engineer, you’ll lead and contribute to a range of civil and structural design packages, bringing your technical and delivery skills to projects that include new highway schemes, maintenance, and structural assessments. Your role will encompass managing design packages, project resources, and financial control to ensure every project is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. With a background in civil engineering and hands-on experience in single and multi-disciplinary project delivery, you’ll be skilled in taking projects from feasibility to detailed design. What You’ll Bring BEng / MEng or MSc degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent), Chartered status, and ICE or IStructE membership. Proven experience working with clients like National Highways, local authorities, or major contractors. Ability to lead technical reviews, develop project scopes, and manage technical teams, budgets, schedules, and deliverables. Strong commercial awareness and financial management skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders, including suppliers, independent reviewers, and local authorities.
