Aims andresponsibilities of thepost:
We are looking for a clinical fellow who is keen to follow a career in Orthopaedics, keen to learn and contribute to improving the lives of children with Orthopaedic problems. Thepurposeofthispostistoenablethe successful candidate togainfurtherexperience inPaediatricOrthopaedicSurgery andOrthopaedic Surgery for young people, whilstprovidingsupportto the professionalteamin carryingout itsClinical& Research workloadin outpatient clinics, operating listsand ward work.
Working for our organisation
The Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre is a teaching hospital and one of the first waves of NHS Trusts. It provides a service for the clinical management of musculoskeletal problems and its facilities include Orthopaedics, Rheumatology, Rehabilitation and a specialised diagnostic service in Histopathology and Medical Imaging. There are beds overall with eight operating theatres and a purpose built day surgery unit. The hospital takes admissions each year, sees, outpatients, either on the premises or in peripheral clinics and is a tertiary referral centre for specialist orthopaedics and physical rehabilitation. Half of the patients are referred from the Oxfordshire district and the remaining half from the region and beyond.
