As the Technical Planner/Coordinator you will be the underpinning support for the Technical Department, helping with the planning and delivery of planned and reactive maintenance of the fleet. The role will be office based with site visits as required.
Key Duties
* Assist with schedules for planned and reactive maintenance.
* Coordinate with Technical Manager and superintendents for timely task execution.
* Maintain records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
* Arrange engineers’ travel and accommodation as needed.
* Manage the service van fleet scheduling and maintenance.
* Provide onsite technical assistance to superintendents and maintenance teams.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on vessels.
* Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
* Allocate resources for maintenance tasks.
* Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for maintenance services.
* Prepare and maintain comprehensive maintenance documentation.
* Compile work preparation documents for vessel maintenance, refits, and surveys.
* Generate regular reports on maintenance activities and performance metrics.
* Schedule and conduct regular meetings with Technical Manager and superintendents.
* Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement.
* Apply best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.
* Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in maintenance technology.
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in maintenance planning and coordination, preferably in the maritime industry.
* Previous experience in a field service/marine engineer role would be advantageous.
* Strong technical knowledge of vessel systems and equipment.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools.
* Problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
