We at Dutton Recruitment are currently working in partnership with one of our valued clients to recruit for a passionate and driven Registered Manager to manage a 40 bedded dementia service in Hull. The service is dedicated to person centred care where the diagnosis of dementia does not define the individuals living in the home. To be a manager here you have to have the heart and needs of each resident at the core of everything that you and your team will do from getting clients into the community and out on day trips to ensure that each person's support plan is bespoke to them and always reflective of their needs.
As the manager here you will be responsible for overseeing a team of roughly 40 staff to include 2 care managers, team leaders and support staff. You must have experience as a Registered Manager within dementia services to apply and have an understanding of behaviours that challenge along with mental health and neurological conditions. The role will be very varied, and you will be involved and have an understanding of all aspects of the home from budgeting to staff management, to processes, reporting, quality and compliance and health and safety. As the manager you will need to wear many hats, and the role will be challenging but extremely rewarding where no two days will be the same. You will have the support of a very strong regional manager along with two very strong care managers, so this role is the missing part in a very strong management team pushing the home forwards and leading by example.
My client is looking for someone with a very hands-on approach who can lead the team by example, have an open-door policy and be out on the floor monitoring care, knowing what is happening in the home and motivating and inspiring your team to achieve great things. The role will include:
Overseeing the implementation of the services policies and procedures and communicating those effectively with the wider team.
Evaluating the service's goals and quality objectives.
Upholding an open, positive and inclusive management culture.
Providing leadership to the administration, care, catering, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance team.
Business development, marketing and selling the services beds and services.
Responsible for the budget of the home.
Promoting the welfare and safeguarding of everyone in the home.
Recruitment, induction and retention of staff.
Conduct staff supervisions, appraisals and probation meetings - developing staff to their full potential, ensuring succession planning for the service.
Work together with the service users, families, external agencies and colleagues.
Promote independence within the home and encourage appropriate risk taking.
Strive for quality in everything you do, recognizing and understanding what quality in care means for people using the service.
Focus on how things could be done better and improving outcomes for people.Candidates must have over a years experience managing a dementia care home, have their Level 4/5 in health and social care and have a full right to work in the UK without restrictions. My client at the moment does not offer sponsorship. You will need to have a real passion to lead from the front and really make a positive difference to the live of people living with dementia.
In return you will receive a salary of £45000-£50000 depending on experience plus car allowance and 20% bonus scheme.
This really is a great opportunity to work for a well-established company that really do care about what they do and achieving meaningful outcomes. Please do apply today if you are interested as this role will go quickly
