Nurture Teacher
Location: UK-Surrey-Effingham
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £33,075 - £47,031 per year (M1 - UPS1 Fringe)
Plus: £5,000 Welcome bonus for Qualified Teacher*
Hours: 40 hours per week - Term Time only - Start time 8.15am - Finish time Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday 4.45pm, Thursday 5pm and Friday 4pm
Teaching Personnel have a great opportunity to work with an excellent SEN school based in Surrey. The school is looking for a KS3 Teacher to run the nurture programme. The successful candidate will be delivering high quality teaching and learning to students aged between 11 – 16 with ASD and other complex or anxiety-related needs who may present with challenging behaviours associated with their diagnosis.
Key Duties:
* Contribute to the delivery and development of the curriculum, considering the educational, physical and social needs of the students.
* Work collaboratively with other staff as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
* Maintain and use short, medium, and long-term plans in delivering the curriculum.
* Set, monitor, and review personalised targets to optimise learning for each individual.
* Monitor, assess, review, and report on the progress and work of students to parents, team members, senior staff, examination and funding bodies through reports and meetings as directed.
* Develop lesson plans, analysing and self-reflecting on the outcomes.
* Attend and contribute to all relevant meetings and maintain good communication with other staff.
* Contribute to the review of EHC plans, PEP, and LAC reviews.
Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent teaching qualification with evidence of in-service training.
* Experience working in a special school environment, particularly with pupils with ASC and SEND.
* Experience successfully delivering a differentiated curriculum to pupils with a wide range of needs.
