Contracts Manager
Civil Engineering
Location: North West
Our client, a civil engineering contractor, is looking to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager to join their expanding team to work on projects throughout the North West. Project value ranges from £2m to £10m, working across civil engineering, earthworks, and remediation projects both as main contractor and sub-contractor.
Contracts Manager Responsibilities:
1. Proven track record of managing works of civil engineering, earthwork, and remediation projects both as main contractor and sub-contractor.
2. Responsibility from both a commercial and contractual standpoint.
3. Ensure contracts run to schedule and to budget.
4. Demonstrable experience of successfully undertaking a similar contracts manager role.
5. Ensure works are completed to the highest level of quality and in line with Company procedures.
6. Upfront planning and mobilisation in advance of works commencing on site.
7. Input into Resource Management including “look ahead” programmes, material scheduling, plant and labour forecasting, and progress on site is regularly benchmarked against target programme.
8. Effective man management of site staff / motivating workforce to meet project deadlines and targets.
9. Client liaison - promote a positive client interface ensuring that our clients maintain the highest level of confidence with the Company.
Contracts Manager Requirements:
1. Relevant industry qualification (HND/HNC/BEng or equivalent).
2. Civil engineering experience.
3. Experience within civils, earthworks, and demolition advantageous.
4. Experienced Contracts Manager; however, candidates at Project Manager Level ready to make the step up to Contract Management will be strongly considered.
5. Excellent communication and people and team management skills.
