Teaching Assistant - SEN Specialist (Complex Learning Difficulties)
Prospero Teaching is recruiting for Learning Support Assistants to work at a specialist school in Bury for those aged 5-16 years old with additional and complex needs.
You will provide learning support to pupils and work in groups and on a 1:1 basis supported by other support and education staff. Ideally, you will have previous experience supporting those with complex needs or working within a school.
Some pupils may present challenging behavior; therefore, candidates must ensure they are comfortable working in this type of environment and be aware that these are physically demanding roles.
Position Details:
* LOCATION: Bury, Greater Manchester
* POSITION: Additional Needs Learning Support Assistant
* CONTRACT TYPE: Temporary - Permanent
* MINIMUM DAILY RATE: 97+
* HOURS: Full time Monday - Friday 8.30am - 4pm
* START DATE: ASAP
Candidate Requirements:
* QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 'C' grade in English and Maths at GCSE
* Previous experience in a similar setting
* DBS checked against both Children & Adults or be willing to apply for a new one at the cost of 45
* Be able to provide two references covering the past 2 years of employment
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
* Hold Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
* Provide two professional child-related references that cover the last two years
