Job summary: Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way. To follow practice protocols and procedures. Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone Job responsibilities: Receive and make calls as required Process requests for appointments using clinical system (Emis Web) Process prescription requests Scanning/read coding Input data into the patients healthcare records as necessary Process incoming e-test results, ensuring they are referred to the relevant clinician Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately Manage queries as necessary Support all clinical staff with general administrative tasks as requested Follow practice protocols and procedures This job description is not intended to be exhaustive and may be amended to meet the future needs of the practice.
