Cover Supervisor / Cover Teacher

Salary - 110-200 per day (depending on experience & qualifications)

Empowering Learning is a market-leading education recruitment company. We are partnering with a large school in Whitby seeking to appoint a cover supervisor (cover teacher). This is a full-time position for an outstanding candidate to join a growing school environment that offers support and development for all staff.
The job
* Provide engaging, high-quality teaching to support student learning across the school.
* Contribute to the strategic development of your subject area, lead training programmes, and enhance teaching practices across the school.
* Deliver exceptional lessons that inspire and challenge students, fostering a positive learning environment.
* Support the school's efforts to raise standards of teaching and learning, monitoring progress towards set goals.
* Offer subject expertise to assist departmental staff as needed.
* Support and evaluate staff through teaching and learning programmes.
* Contribute to the implementation of school policies and initiatives.
* Plan and facilitate professional development workshops as required.
The successful candidate will
* Hold a recognised teaching qualification or equivalent.
* Possess a degree or equivalent qualification.
* Demonstrate outstanding teaching practice.
* Exhibit excellent behaviour management skills.
* Have experience with lesson observations and providing constructive feedback.
* Be experienced in improvement planning and implementing strategies to enhance student achievement.
* Have a proven track record of achieving excellent results at KS3/4.
* Be proficient in pupil tracking and giving effective feedback.
