Head of People

Location: North London with hybrid working available.
Hours: Full time.
Salary: up to £80,000k
Are you a creative and dynamic people leader? Our client, a leading care provider, is seeking a Head of People to join their team. As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will lead the development and implementation of a people strategy that aligns with the organisation's vision and goals.
This is a truly exciting opportunity to provide leadership, management and professional expertise to the People functions with accountability for strategic direction, operational delivery, and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the senior leadership team you will work collaboratively across the organisation to achieve business objectives, promote vision and values, and shape a collaborative and inclusive culture.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of a forward thinking and robust People strategy that aligns with the organisational leadership strategy and objectives.
Manage the full employee and volunteer life cycles, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Provide strategic advice on all aspects of key risk areas implementing and embedding people policies and best practices.
Collaborate with senior leaders to enhance staff wellbeing and performance.
Ensure compliance with employment law and best practice.
Advise senior leadership on key HR issues, enhancing decision-making with a people focused perspective.
Foster an inclusive and collaborative culture through effective policies and practises.
Work closely with the Chief Executive and Senior Leadership Team to prepare the HR annual operational and longer-term strategic plans.Candidate Requirements
Proven experience across a broad HR remit and managing organisational change preferably within a health or social care organisation.
A proven track record in leading change and growth in complex environments.
A strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategy into operational priorities and plans.
Demonstrable experience in developing and delivering engaging people and culture strategies.
In-depth knowledge of UK employment law, case law, GDPR and best practice.
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build effective relationships across varying levels internally and externally.
Hold a CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent experience.
