Job summary We are aiming to recruit a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist on a 12-month fixed term basis to cover for employment break. A secondment from internal candidates within the Trust will also be considered. The is a well-established post based in the Eating Disorders Service at The Barberry in Edgbaston, Birmingham. It involves the provision of specialist psychological assessment and evidence-based psychological interventions to clients of the Eating Disorders Service; and to provide consultation-liaison and training to colleagues in primary and secondary care teams. Being allied to the multi-disciplinary team in the Eating Disorders Service, the post holder will act as a member of the team, attend meetings and offer supervision, advice and consultation on clients' psychological care to team colleagues. The post holder will be closely supervised and supported by a senior Clinical Psychologist / Psychological Therapist in the Eating Disorders Service. Main duties of the job To provide a qualified specialist psychological therapy service to users of the service team, across all sectors of care; providing specialist psychological assessment and therapy at the same time as offering supervision, advice and consultation on clients' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non-professional carers, working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures.
