We are seeking a motivated Audit and Accounts Senior to join the dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality audit and accounting services to our clients. This role is split into 60% accounts preparation and 40% audit, offering a balanced mix of responsibilities and opportunities for professional growth. Key Responsibilities: Accounts Preparation (60%): Prepare financial statements for a variety of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. Manage and oversee bookkeeping and VAT return preparation. Review and ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial statements with relevant accounting standards. Liaise with clients to gather necessary information and provide advice on financial matters. Assist with the preparation of management accounts and year-end accounts. Mentor and supervise junior staff, providing guidance and support as needed. Audit (40%): Plan and execute audit assignments in accordance with relevant standards and regulations. Conduct audits of varying sizes and complexities across a diverse client portfolio. Identify and communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients and management. Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a clear understanding of their business needs and audit requirements. Prepare audit reports and present findings to clients. Stay updated with changes in audit regulations and accounting standards to ensure compliance and best practices. Qualifications and Skills: Experience in an accounting and audit role within a professional services firm. Strong knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective client relationships. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
