What You Need to Know
We are looking for someone who is dynamic, confident and can direct the manufacturing team to ensure orders are completed to deadlines. We need someone who can interpret forecasts and incorporate them into the operational production plan ensuring high levels of service, on time delivery and first class customer service.
What We Are Looking For
Some of the Key Accountabilities:
* Work with colleagues from Production, Projects, Procurement and Logistics to obtain information required to develop, monitor and maintain production schedules.
* Provide planning information to aid smooth execution of all production activities.
* Allocate work evenly across available resources.
* Manage master planning activities.
* Process purchase/production orders based on sales forecast and current stock.
* Ensure system stock levels are updated as required.
* Collate progress and provide weekly schedule updates on manpower, production time scales and work scope delivery.
* Provide proposals with lead times for quotations, based on capacity.
* Carry out contract reviews on all new sales orders ensuring availability.
* Post hours and review regularly ensuring production times are being met.
* Arrange contractors as required.
Qualifications / Skills & Experience
Essential
* Proven experience of successful planning/scheduling activities.
* Strong IT skills with the ability to use systems and software to manage and produce useful data.
* Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail and an analytical and organised approach.
* Possess a good understanding of planning and procurement procedures.
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills to facilitate successful interactions between various internal departments and external contacts.
* Strong numeracy skills.
Preferred
* To have an HNC qualification within Engineering or equivalent.
* Experience with ERP (Ax 12/D365) Production Control.
* To have been on courses for supervisory processes.
