In both parts of the business, we run print magazines, digital content and both face-to-face and virtual awards, conferences, and other events. Metropolis is actively looking at acquiring more media businesses. We employ over 480 people in offices in Croydon, Fleet street, Devon and Dublin.
Headlinemoney is the digital service at the heart of financial services media. We have been successfully bringing together the financial press and the UK's financial services industry since 2002. Our main service is the digital platform, Headlinemoney web page, featuring press content, media communications and directories, daily email round-ups and interviews. Alongside the platform, we run market-leading in-person events such as the Headlinemoney Awards, known as the 'Oscars' for the money media, and Masterclasses.
Overall Purpose of the Role:
The purpose of the Content Manager role is to help maintain the platform's press resources, content and directories. The Content Manager will curate the press release newsfeed service, posting, uploading and updating content. A key task will be preparing the daily email alert round-up for Headlinemoney members. Working alongside the Head of Content and Strategy, the Content Manager will provide support around features, content and events, assisting in increasing member numbers and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Curate Headlinemoney's press release newsfeed by posting member's content to the platform and repackaging this content for journalists.
2. Look after the platform's resources, such as the events calendar, media directories, topic rooms and user guides.
3. Use social media to increase the reach of the platform's content and raise the profile of the brand.
4. Produce regular email alerts, rounding up the latest money media news and summarising upcoming events for the financial media.
5. Assist Headlinemoney's Head of Content and Strategy in updating features, guides and content and general member account management.
6. Attend industry functions as an ambassador for the brand.
7. Support the Head of Content in efforts to create a more engaged user base.
8. Maintaining the daily rolling press release newsfeed by promptly and accurately uploading member content to the platform.
9. Source, process and publish other financial services content relevant to Headlinemoney's audience.
10. Ensuring posts are correctly formatted and tagged, sourcing and resizing images when required.
11. Producing daily email round-ups that highlight member content, are easy-to-read, interesting, informative, engaging and accurate.
12. Maintaining events calendar and writing a weekly email updating members on upcoming events.
13. Using social media to drive awareness, increase traffic and raise the profile of the brand's content.
14. Proof-reading and editing emails and features.
15. Contribute ideas and implement changes where necessary.
16. Assisting Headlinemoney's Head of Content and Strategy when required in general maintenance of the platform's content and resources, writing posts, reviewing features and content, commissioning interviews and promoting events and demonstrating the service to members.
17. Liaising with the commercial team with information about member company's interaction.
18. Helping with events in a variety of capacities, such as attending judging sessions, writing social media posts, proof-reading copy and marketing materials.
19. Manage and encourage participation in the monthly journalist prize draw.
20. Representing Headlinemoney and assisting in-person at the Headlinemoney Awards and Masterclasses.
21. To adhere to company policies including the Anti-Bribery and Corruption policy.
