We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Acute Medicine Trust Doctor to join our dynamic team in providing high-quality care to patients in the Emergency Assessment Unit (EAU) and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) service at South Tyneside Hospital.
Main Duties of the Job
This role is integral to the delivery of rapid assessment, diagnosis, and management of acutely unwell patients. You will work in a multidisciplinary environment and contribute to improving patient flow and clinical outcomes.

Rota Pattern
The role will include standard days working across EAU and SDEC with participation in the medical registrar on-call rota, which involves evenings, weekends, and night shift pattern.
Person Specification
Skills & Knowledge
* Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to continuous professional development.
Experience
* Experience in managing acutely unwell medical patients in a hospital setting.
* Prior experience in SDEC or ambulatory care.
* Evidence of participation in quality improvement projects or research.
* Experience in teaching and training healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
* Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
* Completion of Core Medical Training (CMT)/Internal Medicine Training (IMT) or equivalent.
* Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) or equivalent. Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
