Circular Resourcing are working with a leading European IPP based in London who are looking to recruit a Grid Connection Manager to join their London based team, overseeing several Utility Scale Solar & Storage Projects across the UK.
Salary: client open to negotiation due to competitiveness of this market at present. Additional bonus and benefits provided.
The role will be based on a hybrid basis (2 days per week) from the London office. There may be considerations for candidates outside of this area with the right experience, on a case-by-case basis to work remotely. If this applies to you, please do reach out.
THE ROLE
The Project Construction Grid Manager will be responsible for delivering the Interconnection projects of Construction Pipeline on time, budget, and to our quality and Health & Safety standards.
You will support the execution of the UK construction projects and be responsible for all the construction reporting, schedule, budget management/forecasting and cost control, progress, construction document management, etc.
The role requires interaction and coordination with EPC’s, ICP’s, DNO´s on-site personnel, and multiple business units.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management of multiple Interconnection utility scale projects
Full ownership and responsibility for the delivery of each project on time, budget, and to our quality and Health & Safety standards
Management of EPC’s, ICP’s, and internal and external stakeholders
Negotiating EPC / ICP contracts
Project Based Reporting on: Construction progress, contractor performance, tracking budget and forecasting, quality inspections, H&S, etc.
Negotiate ICP/EPC Contracts
Control and manage the development and approval of the engineering and design of the projects
Control equipment manufacturing schedules
Support Development and M&A activities with relevant E&C input
Run RFP’s for upcoming construction progress
Desired Skills
• Comprehensive understanding of UK grid connection processes, regulations, and standards
• Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies, with a focus on solar and energy storage systems
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to travel to various project sites as needed along with a valid driver's license and clean driving record
