* Assist with behavioural support and promote positive behaviour in line with the school's policies.
* Help students develop essential life skills, social skills, and independence.
* Support students in both academic and non-academic activities, including extracurricular events and social activities.
* Foster a supportive, inclusive, and caring learning environment where all students feel valued and respected.
* Assist with the preparation and adaptation of resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
* Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and SENCOs.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide the best support for students.

* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions while using initiative where needed.
* Understanding of the importance of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
* A commitment to supporting students' individual learning needs and ensuring they have access to an inclusive education.
* A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or a willingness to work towards one.
* Experience working with students who have more complex or specific educational needs.
* First Aid qualification (or willingness to undergo training).
* Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and experience applying them in the classroom.
* Training or experience in using technology or other learning tools for SEN students.
