Solutions Driven is seeking a Sales Operations Analyst (6 month contract to permanent) on behalf of one of our clients who operates in the Aerospace and Defence manufacturing space.
MISSION
The candidate will act as key customer interface, representing customer interests internally. Develops strong customer intimacy at all levels, serving as the primary point of contact for all quote, order activity and ad hoc enquiries. This is a 6 month temporary contract to permanent role.
RESPONSIBILITES
* Generates customer quotes, aids proposal preparation and reconciles monthly bookings & commission reports. Maintains short- and long-range sales forecasts.
* Supports and administers the booking and acknowledgement of purchase orders with initial reviews and submission to the business units to ensure readiness for entry. Co-ordinates the active order backlog with the customer and supply chain to ensure smooth operation of the business and high customer satisfaction.
* Supports the issuing of notifications (e.g. obsolescence notifications) to customers.
* Maintains files as required for related activities and manages SFDC data integrity for assigned areas
* Responds to customer inquiries regarding order/delivery/pricing issues and product questions.
* Together with Trade Compliance, ensures the timely resolution of export control issues and works directly with customers to obtain compliant export control documentation
* Monitors leads and manages the allocation and follow up process. Prepares responses to leads for quoting follow-on buys to existing customers. Partners with Marketing to provide analysis of lead funnel and lead-to-order progression.
* Performs business analysis functions including documenting processes, gathering business requirements to support company strategies, and identifying CRM improvements to support processes within the Sales function.
* Maintains these tools over time by integrating new business units and other organizational changes.
* Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external subject matter experts and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that Sales can best support the organization.
* Performs ad-hoc analysis and projects, as needed, to support business needs.
* Maintains knowledge of Mercury products and processes through both self-study and organized training to provide quality support to the Sales team and customers.
* Any reasonable ad hoc requests from the employee's line management.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
* 5+ years' experience in sales operations with customer service exposure
* Proficient with Microsoft Office packages
* Proficient with CRM and ERP systems (preferably Salesforce and Oracle)
* Experience within a fast paced, highly innovative industry, preferred.
* Strong teamworking, communication and organizational skills
* Seasoned professional individual contributor
* Able to work independently with limited supervision
* English Language: Fluent. Other languages an advantage, especially Spanish and French.
