We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to join Hanna Instruments UK in the Midlands, offering a competitive £35K–£45K basic salary + £20K OTE (uncapped), company car, pension contribution. We also provide £1,000 annually for personal development.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for new businesssales and account management of the Midlands across a variety of customer segments, focusing on industries like food manufacturing, research labs, agriculture, and more. The role is field based, with monthly visits to our Bedfordshire office and must be able to attend customer meetings in the Midlands area as required to hit your sales target.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and grow your sales territory, building strong customer relationships.
* Building a long term pipeline through prospecting.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
* Conduct product demonstrations and attend industry events.
* Maintain records and forecasts in our CRM system.
* Maintain Product and competitor knowledge.
* Develop and maintain appropriate knowledge of all Hanna products and strategies.
What We’re Looking For:
* Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
* Comfortable and confident in client-facing scenarios.
* Background in chemistry, physical sciences, or electrochemistry is a plus.
* Full UK driving license and willingness to travel in the Midlands area.
* Experience in field sales, scientific instrumentation and maintaining a CRM system.
