About The Role
Location: Skellingthorpe, Lincoln.
Days & Hours: Part time and Bank Hours available.
These shifts are agreed to meet our client’s needs and are in accordance with the rota. Typical shifts are as follows (please note that shift start and end times may vary slightly):
Monday to Friday - 8am-4pm/4pm-9.00pm/sleep-in shifts: 9pm-8am.
Saturday and Sunday - 10am-6pm/6pm-9pm/sleep-in shifts: 9pm-10am.
Pay and Benefits:
* £16.00 to £17.77 per hour dependent on shift pattern.
* Sleeping nights will be paid at NLW per hour Monday - Thursday and NLW + £1 per hour for Friday - Sunday (aged 21+).
* Enhanced pay over Christmas Bank Holiday hours.

Driver required? Yes - essential, to drive our client's large automatic Wheelchair Adapted Vehicle. Experience of towing a caravan would be a bonus.
Essential Experience: Enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Flexible and proactive attitude to work.
Desirable Experience: Working with young adults with Cerebral Palsy and additional needs. Able to work flexible hours.

The purpose of the job is to provide assistance to our client with all aspects of daily living. Detailed management plans composed by clinical professionals and the client set out how our client wants to be assisted. Independence, dignity, meaningful activity, choice, and quality of life are of the highest importance. Support Workers will be expected to follow advice and recommendations from our client and specialists on positioning, feeding, exercises, etc. The post requires the use of specialist equipment including hoists, power chair, and recumbent trike. Client specific training will be provided.
Every day is different, and the support will be varied. As well as day-to-day personal care, routines, activities, and therapies, there will be a variety of designated roles to carry out to assist our client.
We are particularly looking for energetic and enthusiastic individuals who are able to work flexibly to meet the needs of our client throughout the week. Bank hours are available to cover annual leave and sickness as required. Part-time contracted work also considered.
About You
It would be great to receive your application if you have the following skills/behaviours:
* Must be able to work with specialist equipment (training will be provided). A Moving and Handling Management Plan is available and is designed to reduce the risk of handling injuries, but you will be required to bend, kneel, squat, push or pull.
* Experience in working in a supporting role, preferably with young people, or keen to develop a career in this work.
* Confident about working in client’s own home and sensitive to his Mum's involvement.
* Able to demonstrate a good understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality and to respect our client and their family's need for privacy.
