About the role:
You will provide technical and general support to the Countryside Access and Recreation team in carrying out its work around public rights of way, common land, parks and open spaces and nature recovery. You will assist in maintaining asset management records in map-based IT systems, support with financial processes and
use map based systems to prepare responses to Land Searches and carry out utility searches. You will contribute to the team’s development, implementation and co?ordination of key-projects through team meetings and other communications.

What you will do:
1. Provide technical and administrative support to members of the team in carrying out countryside access, outdoor recreation and nature recovery work, using your knowledge and skills to ensure efficient service delivery.
2. Carry out map-based and other technical tasks to assist with processes and casework associated with Commons Registration and the Definitive Map and Statement of public rights of way.
3. Input, edit and extract data from GIS map-based software and CAMS (a specialist mapping and data system) and other IT systems to respond accurately to Land Searches, carry out utility searches and assist in managing asset records associated with the team’s work.
4. Be the initial point of contact for general enquiries and provide an excellent level of customer service to service users through face to face, written and verbal communication.
5. Contribute to the improvement of the service by challenge and suggestion, based on experience, innovation and imagination.
