We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Nursery Class in an OFSTED-rated ‘Good’ school in Selly Oak. This full-time position offers a fantastic opportunity to support 2–4-year-olds as a Key Worker, helping them to develop in line with the Birth to Five Framework. As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will: Support the Class Teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities. Act as a Key Worker for a small group of children, ensuring their progress and well-being. Assist in the daily running of the Nursery Class, maintaining a safe and stimulating learning environment. Work collaboratively with the Primary School staff to support children’s early development. Encourage positive behaviour and social skills in line with the EYFS curriculum. Monitor and record children's progress, feeding back to parents and staff. Required Skills and Experience Previous experience working as a TA in a UK Primary School setting. A minimum of a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years. Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum, the Birth to Five Framework, and experience supporting Nursery and Reception children. Experience as a Key Worker, supporting children’s learning and development. A passion for working with 2–4-year-olds in a Nursery Class environment.
