Job summary An opportunity has arisen for a 12-month secondment/10 month fixed term contract, working in the Cashier's Office at Wrightington Hospital. This is a 20-hour post Monday - Friday 9.00am - 1.00pm. We are seeking a reliable Cashier/Admin Assistant to work alone in the Cashier's Office at Wrightington, you will be responsible for the Cashier and General Office service at Wrightington. This vacancy is open to all internal and external candidates. NHS Employees should ideally secure their manager's agreement for a secondment arrangement ideally prior to applying, as this will be a condition of any offer made. This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term basis for 10 months, as it has been funded on a non-recurrent basis. Whilst this post is advertised on a fixed term / secondment basis there is the potential that this post may become permanent in the future. Main duties of the job To provide an efficient administrative and cashier service to patients and staff. Cashier duties include receiving and receipting monies accurately, including car park income, catering income, cash and cheques from private patients, reconciling the banking on a fortnightly basis. Issuing and reconciling petty cash, issuing of patients travel in line with the Healthcare Travel Cost system.
