Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated candidate to work on an exciting research project on characterising immunogenic properties of selected proteins in Corynebacterium diphtheriae. The candidate will be using the techniques of molecular biology (such as PCR amplification, gene cloning and protein purification) and immunology (including ELISA and ELISPOT assays, Western blotting and Flow cytometry).
You will be working on our exciting project Immunogenic screening of novel diphtheria vaccine candidates effective against the toxin variants and nontoxigenic Corynebacterium diphtheriae strains causing invasive infections. The candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team and will be supported by colleagues with significant experience in these fields who will provide necessary training.
The role is fixed term until 31 August 2025.
ABOUT YOU
The candidate should have a MSc or a PhD degree in biological sciences. Some experience in molecular biology and/or immunology is desirable.
