Export Transport Planner £35,000 - £37,000 Monday to Friday 07:30 - 16:00 Borehamwood Grafton UK are recruiting exclusively for a market leading Logistics Company to source a European Export Transport Planner to coordinate and manage the transport loads between UK and Europe. To be considered for the role, you must have at least 1-2 years of previous experience in EU Road Freight. THE ROLE: Some of your responsibilities as an Export Planner are listed below: Manage the day-to-day planning and running of the fleet; Understanding and comply with the customers' requirements and maintaining a very high service level; Ensure all movements are completed to the customer's satisfaction; Minimising journey cost and overall delivery costs; Reload/Back Load optimum planning; Dealing with all hauliers in respect of allocating work for delivery and collection; Identify potential subcontractors; Utilising computerised system to input jobs for our customers and dispatching to drivers/hauliers; Understanding driver compliance and tachograph legislation and working within the parameters to ensure the safe working of our hauliers; Liaising with the workshop manager with reference to breakdowns and vehicle maintenance schedules; Managing and checking of haulier documents and licences to ensure they meet the companies policies; Updating and maintaining online portals along with assisting the hauliers with drivers apps in order to meet customer requirements; Time-effective communications with clients, sales departments or other Company units in case of delays or problems with collections or deliveries. THE CANDIDATE: The ideal Export Planner: At least 1-2 years in a similar role such as International Export Planner/Transport Planner Good understanding of logistics processes in particular shipping/freight forwarding industry Experience of working in a fast paced environment Competent in Microsoft Office (excel, word, outlook) Excellent communication & analytical skills Good attention to detail Good geographical knowledge of UK & Europe Italian or additional European language/s are a plus) HOW TO APPLY: To be considered for this role, please click on the link provided.
