Role Type: Full-Time, Permanent Start date: As soon as possible Visa / Sponsorship Available: Not Available The Enterprise Sales Engineer Role As an Enterprise Sales Engineer at Send, you will play a critical role in supporting our sales efforts within the commercial insurance space. Working closely with the sales team, you’ll provide technical expertise and pre-sales support, ensuring that Send’s Underwriting Workbench aligns with the complex needs of insurers. In this role, you’ll act as a technical enabler, equipping the sales team with the insights, tools, and resources needed to articulate the value of our platform. Your expertise will be key in building and maintaining demo environments, developing client-specific demos, and helping to qualify technical requirements. As part of a fast-growing team, you’ll collaborate closely with product, engineering, and delivery teams, playing a vital part in scaling Send’s presence and ensuring our solutions drive real business impact for commercial insurers in the UK and US. What You’ll Be Doing as an Enterprise Sales Engineer at Send Demo Environment Management: Build and maintain UK and US demo environments, ensuring they reflect real-world insurer workflows. Client-Specific Demos: Develop and configure custom demos based on sales requirements, ensuring alignment with client needs. Technical Qualification: Work closely with the sales team to qualify client technical requirements, helping them navigate architecture, integrations, and deployment considerations. Solution Design Support: Collaborate with internal teams to define and refine technical solutions that align with business needs. Technical Consultation for Sales: Provide the sales team with deep technical insights to help them articulate the business and technical value of Send’s Underwriting Workbench. Sales Enablement: Support the sales team in overcoming technical objections and ensure they are equipped with the necessary materials and knowledge. Proposal & RFP Support: Assist in crafting technical responses for RFPs, proposals, and sales collateral. Internal Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, and delivery teams to align solutions and ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to delivery. Client Feedback Loop: Gather insights from the sales process and relay them to product and engineering teams to inform future development. Skills & Experience Needed to Be a Successful Enterprise Sales Engineer at Send: Technical Expertise: Proven experience in pre-sales, sales engineering, or technical consulting roles. Strong understanding of cloud technologies (AWS preferred), microservices architecture, and APIs. Familiarity with data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and integration best practices. Experience building and managing demo environments for internal sales use. Bonus points for experience with Angular, Java, Python, MySQL, DynamoDB, Snowflake, and Terraform. Internal Sales Support & Enablement: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for the sales team. Skilled at designing and advising on SaaS integrations, ensuring internal teams understand deployment feasibility. Strong analytical mindset to help the sales team qualify technical requirements efficiently. Communication and Problem-Solving: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for engaging with internal stakeholders (sales, product, engineering). Strong problem-solving ability, capable of working through technical challenges in a fast-paced environment. Independence & Teamwork: Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with internal teams. Proactive and detail-oriented, ensuring sales efforts are fully supported with the right technical resources.
