As part of our ongoing efforts, we are seeking a talented and driven Cyber Security Expert to join our team. In this role, you will provide critical cyber security expertise to actively support bids and opportunities across various sectors within our Digital, Data, and Technology (DDaT) function. The primary goal is to ensure maximum compliance with security requirements, whether contractual, regulatory, or operational, while maintaining a balance between robust protection and business competitiveness. You will be responsible for generating high-quality bid content that addresses the design, implementation, and management of security controls to assure prospective clients of our commitment to protecting their data. You will work closely with the bid and contract teams, providing both written and verbal guidance to ensure all security aspects are met and risks are effectively mitigated. Your ability to communicate complex concepts and proactively identify potential challenges will be key to the success of our business opportunities. As part of this you will: Act as the primary author and responsible owner for all Cyber Security-related responses to customer bids, ensuring comprehensive coverage of security requirements, compliance responses, architectural design, risk assessments, mitigation strategies, contract reviews, governance strategies, and security operations costing. Lead and contribute to bid solution design activities, including solution architecture, solution review, researching HMG guidance and industry best practices, and advising on specific technologies or services. Support the procurement process by documenting security requirements in RFP/tender documents, assessing supplier responses, and assisting with the creation of statements of work and contractual schedules. Produce high-quality bid and promotional cyber security collateral to support the broader business initiatives. Collaborate with key bid stakeholders and senior leadership, guiding solutions through the bidding process, including internal/external reviews and approvals. Engage directly with customers in workshops and other forums, providing expert advice and presenting security solutions effectively. Regularly brief the Cyber Assurance Team Lead on the strategic bidding pipeline, highlighting key challenges in individual bids and recommending prompt resolutions. What you’ll need to do the role: Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills. Senior level expertise in Cyber Security architecting, technologies and processes. Awareness and appreciation of business and financial constraints, and the key drivers which demonstrate how Cyber Security has a positive impact on gaining customer trust and winning business. The ability to influence key stakeholders. BPSS checks will be undertaken on the successful applicant.
