International Business Development Manager
Permanent/full-time
Location: On-site, Bolton (BL1)
Salary: £25-35k base + commission (£35-45k realistic OTE in your first year)
The Role:
Here at the Klinsmann Partnership, we are now seeking to hire an International Business Development Manager.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for managing all international sales activity for the full range of vaping and nicotine alternative brands/products in TKPL’s portfolio, with a particular focus on key territories in Europe and the Middle East.
You will have opportunities to work with leads coming both from inbound queries, but you will also be expected to generate a significant amount of leads from your own outbound enquiries.
This is a newly created role at TKPL with the goal of facilitating further international expansion, and as such for the right person there is the opportunity to adapt the role according to your particular strengths and desires.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Identify and pursue business development opportunities in priority markets (European Union and Middle East)
2. Generate leads, cultivate relationships, and manage the sales pipeline from initial inquiry through to contract signing and product delivery
3. Ensure compliance with international regulations for nicotine and vaping products, with a focus on EU and Middle Eastern standards
4. Conduct market research to identify potential distributors, retailers, and partners for expansion
5. Develop sales strategies and coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth product entry and support in new territories
6. Represent the company at international vape industry events and trade shows as and when necessary
We are looking for candidates to have some experience/attributes in the following key areas:
1. 4+ years in business development, preferably with experience in the vaping or nicotine pouches sector
2. Demonstrable international sales experience, particularly in the vaping/nicotine alternatives space, would be highly advantageous
3. Experience or strong understanding of compliance issues related to nicotine and vaping products is strongly preferred, or failing this, a demonstrable ability to quickly learn and successfully navigate regulatory requirements in international markets within a new sector
4. Familiarity with CRM software for managing sales pipeline (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
You will need the following skills in order to succeed in this role:
1. Strong networking and relationship-building skills to establish trust with distributors and retailers in new markets
2. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex regulatory information clearly
3. High level of initiative and self-management, with the capacity to work independently toward business growth objectives
4. Analytical mindset for understanding market data and adjusting strategies as needed
5. Proficiency in market research and lead generation processes and tools
6. Any foreign language skills that you can offer would also be beneficial, but by no means essential
