We are currently looking for a Purchasing Apprentice to support our growing Procurement function, this is a fantastic role that will allow the successful candidate to up skill and develop through the company, you will find more details below. Benefits A competitive basic salary Company bonus or commission scheme Great health and well-being packages A fantastic pension scheme Key Responsibilities Support procurement activities including processing of requisitions across the network Assist Senior Buyer and Purchasing Manager in sourcing services and equipment, shadowing their activities, and maintaining supplier relationships. Maintain Supplier SQA database, contracts listings, and supplier information. Collaborate with the SHEQ team to ensure supplier accreditations are reviewed. Support the team in identifying root causes of invoice variances and investigating queries Attend college 1 day a week to complete CIPS level 3 What You Need Appetite to take part in an apprenticeship, online / college qualification (CIPS) Functional Skills - individuals will need to demonstrate competence in Maths and English via the functional skills route unless they already have A-C grades or 4-9 grades in GSCE or O Level and can provide proof of certification Attention to Detail Organisational Skills Communication and Interpersonal Skills Analytical Skills Problem-Solving Abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Especially Excel) Adaptability - The purchasing environment can change quickly—An adaptable purchasing assistant can adjust priorities and approaches to meet changing demands Team-Oriented and Collaborative Proactive Attitude Interview Process Initial telephone / Microsoft Teams call, the line manager or Human Resources may conduct this Interview – In person, held by the line manager Final Stage – JOB OFFER Environmental Social & Governance Our ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) strategy is brought to life through our ESG Champions situated throughout the company, our champions create solutions for the hottest topics in each area of our strategy.
