Location: Shirley, Birmingham
Salary: £80 - £100 per day

Type: Temporary to permanent role, Part Time, 8:30 - 3:30
Monarch Education has recently begun working with a Special Educational Needs (SEND) school in Shirley, seeking an Early Years Specialist with SEND experience.
The School:
This all-age special school caters to students with a statement of Special Educational Needs (SEN), primarily focusing on moderate learning difficulties, with the primary need being Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). You will be working in a small class of children with mixed abilities and may also mentor children with SEND on a one-to-one basis.
Requirements to Apply:
* The ability to provide references covering the past 2 years
* An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to apply for one
* A qualification relating to early years/early education
* Experience with SEND
The Ideal Candidate:
* Pro-active and eager to work with SEND pupils
* Knowledge of Makaton, Phonics, PECS communication, team teach, or Autism Awareness is a HUGE advantage
* Empathetic to the struggles faced by pupils with special educational needs
* Able to clearly communicate with pupils, teachers, and support networks
* Able to adapt the curriculum using toys, sensory play, and music where necessary
* Fun and bubbly personality while maintaining a professional demeanor
