Can you build relationships and influence key stakeholders at all levels?
Are you able to prioritise on a dynamic basis?
Do you have experience of providing executive support services to Senior Leaders?
Are you keen to support work that will help the Department shape its future strategy?
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is the UK's biggest government department, building digital services that make a real difference to the lives of 20 million people.
DWP Digital is finding new ways to use our technology, expertise and innovation to help those who need it most. We’re changing how we work, transforming digital services for millions of citizens and their needs are at the heart of everything we do.
We have an opportunity for someone with excellent organisational and communication skills and who is great at stakeholder management, to join our teams in Debt & Management Information, Digital Channels within Digital Modernisation & Efficiency, and the Strategic Delivery Unit.
As Director's Support for a busy and complex area of DWP Digital you will work with the Deputy Director to provide an efficient and consistent service across the Senior Leadership Team.
You’ll be expected to build a good understanding of the strategic priorities across Digital Group, taking a keen interest in the work we do and using that insight to plan and prioritise on behalf of the Director.
You'll use your knowledge to instinctively know what the next best step is - whether to action the request, seek advice, set up a meeting or delegate to another team member. Your relationships across your functional area and wider Directors Support community, will help guide your response.
You’ll be secretariat for meetings such as Leadership Team meetings, taking responsibility for capturing actions right through to completion.
You’ll play a key role in supporting communication within your area - helping to set up key communication channels for your Director, such as weekly team calls and supporting with events. You’ll help coordinate key messages and briefings to be delivered at these, by keeping an eye on what’s happening across DWP and Digital, and within your functional area.
