We are seeking 2 Aircraft Technicians who will work under the supervision of the Licensed Aircraft Engineer within the Base and Line maintenance environments. You will carry out maintenance tasks in accordance with approved data using the appropriate hand tools.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Carry out scheduled maintenance, support defect investigation and assist with Schedule maintenance in accordance with the Maintenance Programme, Maintenance Publications and Company Procedures as directed by the Licensed Aircraft Engineer.
2. Carry out pre/post flight inspections.
3. Correct filing and control of certification documentation to ensure traceability.
4. Working in accordance with Health & Safety policies.
5. Support Affinity operations, as required.
6. Completed an aviation maintenance apprenticeship or equivalent.
7. Experience of working closely with multi-site teams, building relationships and leveraging them to deliver outstanding performance in a highly regulated environment.
8. Worked within a UK CAA Part 145 organisation.
9. Repairs of composite structure and/or sheet metal work.
10. Worked with aviation maintenance management software e.g., AMOS, RAL, Envision etc.
11. Proficiency in use of common software packages including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Power BI, Microsoft Project.
Essential Qualifications:
1. Recognised Aircraft Maintenance Apprenticeship, City & Guilds Part 2, or NVQ Level 2 or Equivalent.
2. Ability to acquire UK security clearance.
3. Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Qualifications:
1. UK CAA Part 66 Cat A License.
2. Initial Human factors.
3. Current SMS training.
4. Current EWIS training.
5. Current Fuel Tank Safety Training.
6. Understanding of working practices within a UK CAA Part 145 environment.
7. Proficiency in handling tools, diagnosing mechanical issues, and performing repairs or maintenance tasks on aircraft.
8. Basic understanding of HSE regulations in the workplace.
9. Ability to communicate effectively.
10. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
11. Enjoy working both indoors and outdoors, as well as in all types of weather conditions.
12. Fluent, both written and verbal, in English.
13. Strong team-working skills fostering a positive culture and delivering continuous improvement.
14. Team player with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, sharing knowledge and best practice to support the development of those around you.
15. Able to take ownership of tasks and use initiative to solve problems, exercising appropriate level of judgement regarding sensitivity and confidentiality.
16. Able to work well as part of a diverse team, as well as autonomously to deliver on expectations.
17. Proactive and solution oriented, being a source of inspiration to others to engage and involve.
