Are you a passionate Employee Relations professional looking for development and the opportunity to make an impact? McKinney HR is expanding, and we're looking for a Lead Investigator to join our team.
McKinney HR, established in 2014, is a B2B consultancy with HR professionals and OD experts who help clients manage conflict and improve performance. We have a motivated internal Business Team working alongside a talented group of Associates.
We are passionate about conducting high-quality Workplace Investigations, which is our core service. We handle complex and sensitive investigations involving multiple parties, allegations, and tight timeframes.
This role is remote (with occasional travel), offering the chance to interact with clients across various sectors within the UK.
We welcome applications from both part-time (minimum 25 hours) and full-time (35 hours) candidates and are open to flexible working arrangements.
About the Role
Based in Central Scotland with team meetings in Livingston, the role involves conducting investigations remotely or in-person, depending on client needs, with occasional travel within central Scotland.
Responsibilities include:
* Managing a caseload of complex employee relations investigations, including discrimination, bullying, harassment, gender-related issues, misconduct, and customer complaints.
* Conducting interviews, analyzing allegations, collecting evidence, and preparing detailed investigation reports following McKinney HR formats.
* Maintaining confidentiality, neutrality, GDPR compliance, and adherence to employment law and organizational policies.
* Performing quality checks on reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with supporting evidence.
* Building long-term relationships with clients and discussing investigation needs across sectors.
* Supporting the Business Team to deliver excellent service and meet KPIs.
